Who We Are
Pat Hughes
Pat Hughes, Advanced Rolf Practitioner specializes in connective tissue manipulation and structural and movement integration. Pat is also a certified massage therapist completing his training in St. John neuromuscular therapy in 1994, and training in sports massage in 1995. Pat is Nationally Certified, is an active member of the American Massage Therapy Association, tested onto the National Sports Massage Team in 1995 and was selected to participate as a therapist for the 2002 Winter Sports Massage Team in Salt Lake City working with Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Pat was also selected to provide therapy to athetes at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. He was selected to be a member of the aquatic center medical team, providing sports massage to swimmers, divers, water polo and synchronized swimmers.
In addition to his massage therapy training Pat also completed training as a medical assistant in 1982, an EMT-B in 1994, and received a BBA from Mesa College in 1993.
As an active member of the massage therapy profession Pat is the past Chair of the Eligibility Committee, and past member of the Government Relations Committee for the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork. Pat previously served as Vice Chair for the Commission of Massage Therapy Accreditation, has served as member of their Standards Review Committee, as Chair of their Communications Committee and as Chair of the Commission's Committee for External Development.
